You gotta wonder about the GOP. This is definitely not the party of 
Goldwater anymore. Or even Reagan. I wasn;t a fan of the Republicans in the 
past (except Goldwater in 1964) but you always felt they stood for small 
government and local control. Now, at every level, there is consolidation of 
power.  States preempt local authorities (minimum wage, gun control) and the 
Feds trump states (medical marijuana, drinking age). What gives?
