The Democrats over the past decade have been the party of fiscal responsiblity, holding Republican pork spending at bay, eliminating the defecit, and paying down the national debt. Now that the Republicans are in power, we have seem outlandish increases in spending, record defecits are back, and hole new branches of government have been created as massive spending machines. At the same time, Bush attacked the wrong country in the war on terror, then put through a huge tax cut for the richest 2% which had the net result of increasing the tax burden on the middle class and forced the largest incrase in medicare co-payments in history (17%). Bush has been a disaster for jobs, for the people, for the US, and for the world as a whole. Go back and look at statistics over the past 40 years and see who has created all the jobs. You will find that the vast majority of job creation happened under Democratic administrations or when the Democrats controled Congress. In contrast, both Bush presidencies have been economic depressions leading to huge losses of jobs. The facts don't lie, only neo-conservatives lie. -john- -- ==================================================================== John A.
