In the ensuing trial, the defendant was released following a suprise
ruling by the jury establishing the innocence of the alleged
assailant on extenuating grounds.  In the cross-examination,
when asked why the defendant took this irrational course of
action, he responded "I was on my way to get my new prescription
contacts when I saw the Easter Bunny.  I thought it was Barny
the Dinosaur.  My bad".
