[> 95% OF PEOPLE ON JOBS RETIRE BROKE [>OR DO YOU DISPUTE STATS CAN? ------- Well, I just heard and saw this morning on CTV a cute little fact. 1 out of 3 women retire in poverty (or broke as you like to refer to them). This means 30%. By very simple logic you can safely assume that men make more, so a smaller proportion of them retire broke. I don't see where your figure of 95% comes from. [>>Seeing as most distributors are even below the 25% range, the [>>average income is well under $1000/yr. [> YEA SO LOOK AT EVERY THING ELSE [>SOME PEOPLE LIKE YOU CANNOT DO IT SO IT TAKE DOWN THE AVERAGE FOR TOP [>PRODUCERS. [>THE INACTIVE PRODUCERS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ------- Some people cannot make it in the economy on their own, so they take down the average for top producers. Because 2 million (or whatever) joe blows sit on welfare, means that 2 million joe blows will retire broke. Are you including them in your 95% figure. You should not. Just as you suggest I should not count the 'inactive' amway producers in my numbers. Amway is quite happy to quote numbers which include ALL of their distributors when saying how big their business is. Yet when it comes to per capita averages, only the active members get included. Hmm... some creative number crunching at work. [>>------- Uhm... well, not only did you not go out and check the facts [>>for yourself, you also neglected to read the literature provided by [>>amway when you join. [>DID HE SHOW YHE PLAN COMPLETLY? [>WHAT PARAGRAPH DOES IT SAY THIS EXACTLY ------- Of course.... The specific 'paragraph' I am referring to was tucked in between all of the other booklets. It had the pyramids on it, with you (me) on the top circle, and the people below. Attached were some numbers (average sales, bv/pv points (or whatever thay are called) and the residual income figures). The top circle made the most money. When the circles below had bigger numbers attached to them, the top circle's figure was proportionally bigger. A very direct and positive relationship. I never did get a STRAIGHT answer as to why there were points in the first place. Can't I have honest money? [>>------- I understand that a good investement portfolio can perform [>>quite nicely. And it is probably less risky than someone's chances [>>of making it big in amway. [>ARE YOU A FINANCIAL PLANNER??? [>WHAT SHOULD I INVEST IN? [>i NEED 3-5 MILLION HOW DO i GET IT? ------- You do your research and you invest in whatever you feel like. And, no, you do not need millions to invest. You can start investing (and should) with less money than it takes to get you into amway. If you are not very comfortable investing, see a broker or a financial planner. Sure, you'll be paying those people, but tell me dk, do you not STILL pay your sponsor for giving you the privilage to join amway? [>FUNNYHOW MANY PEOPLE LACK COMMON SENSE? ------- Yeah, sometimes it scares me. BTW, there is a very subtle difference between typing in all uppercase letters and in proper mixed case. The former makes you look like a loser. -- Mariusz Zydyk http://www.ucalgary.ca/~mszydyk/ Prince of Darkness pod@cadvision.com
