gr >It was a mistake to leave my phone number in my sig file when I replied to >this gentleman's posting. He phoned me last night to try to interest me in >going into his business, where he makes his alleged six-figure income. >It's Amway. As for taking financial advice from me, I haven't done too >badly. At age 43 we have over a quarter of a million dollars in mutual >funds. That's invested inside and outside of our RRSPs. I've calculated >that my wife and I will be able to retire with a monthly income of well >over $6,000 in today's dollars even if we never invest another cent from >today on. We own our house mortgage free and own rental property. We're >borrowingmoney on our mortgage-free house to buy more mutual funds. As for >RRSPs being horrible, as he suggests, he doesn't know what he's talking >about. We have the best government-sponsored retirement savings plan that >I know of in the world and Canadians would be well advised to put as much >into RRSPs as they are able. If Dave is getting as rich as he suggests by >selling Amway, good for him. It's not for me. It's also not for a lot of >people. If you want to lose friends fast, just start talking Amway. I want >to become financially free and keep my friends. Some of them are also my >clients, and many of them are doing quite well also. >Oh, Dave, one more thing: If you wish to respond to this. Please do it >here. Your phone call disturbed my wife. >Wayne sorry to have disturbed you wayne but you appeared to be solicting as you put your name, financial company and phone number. It looked liike an AD! Wayne please tell them you are not an accountant nor a financial planner. You are a MUTUAL FUND SALESMAN I like the part about borrowing to buy mutual funds its called net worth wayne. You are gambling with the future I hope you advise your clients that you can LOOSE money. Personally I advise people to not to gamble. Tell me wayne can you predict the price of pork bellies next year as well? you quoted 6 grand a month as your wife ages her cashflow gets smaller. as I age mine gets bigger and I can pass it on to my kids . you see I do not want my wife to die a poor old lady. lets see .... money doubles every 10 years 6000 is worth 3000 in 2006 1500in 2016 750 in 2226 I dont think she will have enough for the old folks home. figure this wayne if you budget $4 per meal 3 times a day that is 12 A day just to eat. when your wife is 65-70 it will cost her 48 dollars just to eat! I can remember when camaros were 7 grand I bet your wage does not double in ten years. When was the last time the government gave you sound advice about money matters. Why would I want OR expect the government to be involved with my investments. It seems like when it comes to government and money the GOVERNMENT wins> No amway is not for every one but the only 5% of the population makes over 70000 a year but boy we sold more dodges in canada than the top 40 dodge dealers business is goiing broke and we do 8 billion dollars and is expected to double. More than 500 fortune 500 companies are in with amway,. The financial post says home based business grew by 25% last year( aug) Gee amway grew 25% in canada last year . Ask yourself wayne ...Is their a connection? Just take a look at your sopping mall> Askyour accountant this...Is it wise to avoid the stores and buy the same item through my own business. you probobly spend 20000 a year in someone else business. You have a business that does 20000 a year. I bet you get more back on taxes than you make on mutual funds. NO RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell me why bill gates and don trump were quoted if they lost their fortunes they would do amway!!! Like I said I take financial advice from people who make more than me. Sorry wayne if I listen to your advice I would only make 6000 a month you cannot show people how to do somthing you havent done. gail vaz-oxlade <getgvo@istar.ca> wrote: >Attention Canadian Women >I am doing reseach for a new book on women and money.
