Our favorite:  Panasonic SlimLine tape recorder, easily modified for 12 
hour recording... just add an inline resistor or capacitor!  If you know 
what to do, great!  I don't know diddly about this, so you can have the 
perfect working order tape recorder for $25 obo.

SouthWestern Bell cordless telephone!  Has intercomm function, pule/tone 
dialing, manual, power supply, both antennas + one extra (deal worth it 
for the antennas alone!), speakerfone, two jacks in back (fax, modem, 
line, etc etc), in use and charge and power lights, paging feature, 
volume controls on both handset and base unit, 10 programmable memories, 
clear and mute buttons, last # redial, battery low led, and hold button!  
It has had its use, and we have been given a nicer, automatic channel 
cordless.  OH!  And the cordless has settable encryption, up to 10 x 
10(9) power possibilities!  And, it also has 10 channels (0-9) so you can 
choose the clearest one around.  Antennas will work on all cordless fones 
I have come accreoss, including all the AT&T and SouthWestern Bell ones.  
Last note:  this is a very powerful unit.  If you are tuned to the wrong 
channel, you can very easily pick up neighbors conversations up to a mile 
away.  Use with care ;)

pacific bell equipent (house boxes, payphones, etc), and most large (3') 
gum ball machines!  This is great for fun, and I recomment you use a 
cordless drill with it for faster access!
