As the Y2K emergency has passed with a minimum of looting, panic
and general collapse of society, I would like to purchase a good used
generator.

Is there anyone wanting to clean out the survival shack? My cat eats
tuna, so i'll
acquire that, and some reasonable quantity of batteries. Any other
good stuff
I might buy.

If you are seriously looking for a generator, check with the
stores that sold them, many of them are getting some back,
(well, the wife and I decided we didn't like it) and many
have no return policies but you might post a note or leave
your card saying you would buy one.

Try ebay.com, they seem to be loaded with generators recently, or
alt.survival.year2000
I'm looking for one too.

Um. The one thing that I bought special for Y2K is something I'll be
keeping, a very nice little single-burner backpacking stove that I picked up
at Hudson Bay Outfitters for $51.00 stove, fuel, and carrybag. Altogether it
might weigh a pound, cranks out the heat too. Perfect for heating up a big
rock to wrap up in a towel and stuff in the bottom of your sleeping bag for
those cold mountain nights.
