Never use any outdoor equipment for indoor heating (Unless you
want someone else to cash in your life insurance.)

Horror story 1:
a family celebrated a birthday with BBQ. The night got cold. They
moved the BBQ grill in door to warm the house. Smoke alarms went
off. They disarmed it to get a good night sleep. Three death
in the morning. Carbon monoxide poisoning.

Horror story 2:
After snow storm, power failed. An old man turned on his gas
stove to warm the house. It consumed all oxygen in the house
and he died of suffocation upstairs in bed.

If my house loses power, I would rather move to a motel or
someone else with power. OR stock up some heavy duty sleeping
bags and long johns. If you must need some heat, start your
charcoal grill in the backyard, heat rocks or bricks on it.
Then bring only the heated rocks inside the house for warmth.
Be careful in handling them, lest you burn your hands or
start a fire in house.
