"less than forthright" is being all too kind--Texas.Net
has been downright dishonest and crooked about their
service.

:::and this episode is just more of the same.

::Jerry, I don't blow smoke, I answer questions with the
::honesty and integrity that Texas.Net is known to stand for.

Oh really. Well if that is the case Mr. Macfarlane perhaps
you could make a public request of industry stooge Mr.
Rosenthal is cancels all of Jerry's critisisms of Texas.Net
post to austin.internet. You have supported this outright
censorship yet you have the nerve to engage the man like
this, quote him and speak of the integrity of Texas.Net
and yet you continue to support Rosenthal issuing cancels
on your primary critics. So how about it Macfarlane?

::You're out of line.

Meaning of course he is free to debate you but you are
not free to reply--he'll let Rosenthal do the dirty work
of course. Texas.Net hasn't an honest bone in it's
crooked corporate body. Unlimited means unlimited,
Unmetered means unmetered--if you want to limit hours
on line say so up front so consumers know what they
are buying--to do otherwise is fraud.

:BS. It was pointed out long ago that calling an account
:unlimited and then (in a separate document) imposing limits
:was less than forthright

  Correction sir--crooked--fraudulent.

:yet you continued to do so. Apparently you now use the word
:"unmetered" which is equally absurd and misleading.

Just as crooked and just as fraudulent--I still get a kick
out of this bozo engaging in public debate with you knowing
full well his stooge Rosenthal will forge a cancel on your
posts to austin.internet.

:If your $20 account has a monthly time limit, then it's
:neither unlimited nor unmetered.

Nor is the moaning and groaning about costs and how
they couldn't possible afford to provide REAL Unlimited
or REAL Unmetered. If they can't provide it for $20 a
month (hell--AOL does but they had to be sued over it)
then don't advertise it that way. It's a clear cut
case of fraud.

:When I pointed out that the monthly bandwidth allowed for
:50 MB of storage was a disproportionate 250 MB (all month),
:you replied that it was, in fact, 2 Gb. When I pointed out
:that 2 Gb *is* 250 MB you played it off as a "brain fart" on
:your part yet when I last checked, you were still expressing
:the monthly bandwidth limit as 2 Gb.

No in the least surprising. Texas must have a very
incompetent Attorney General.

:You're the one who's out of line and continuing to blow
:smoke.

  True--but Rosenthal won't cancel his posts--he will
cancel yours.

:The good thing is that you're free to sell snake oil and
:I'm free to point out that's what you're doing.

  The man belongs in jail.
