Okay, let's do that:

We'll search for "'compass bank' complaint" on google.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=%22compass+bank%22+complaint

598 hits.

Now let's look for a similar result using other banks' names:

Wells Fargo: 12,000 hits
Bank of America: 16,300 hits
Bank One: 8,800 hits
Washington Mutual: 3,090 hits

Now let's get a little personal, and look for "'compass bank sucks'".

8 hits.

Wells Fargo: 132
Bank of America: 89
Bank One: 11 (surprising, really)
Washington Mutual: 109

Maybe you can rationalize these results. I can't.
I'm sure any financial institution will in the course of
dealing with several million customers piss a few of them
off, rightly or wrongly. I personally won't do business
with MBNA ever again because they wanted to charge me $29
per year for NOT using their credit card.

You're incorrect that a bank headquartered in Alabama can't
be regulated in Arizona, because banks are mostly regulated
state-by-state, with various states creating all sorts of
differing laws for all levels of financial operations.

I don't know what they did to you, and I don't really
care anymore, either, because it's pretty clear you're
more upset than rational.
