That is partially correct.   The check card also operates as an ATM
card.   I thought Interac takes cirrus from other countries or are
they still working on this?


My card on the back has cirrus,  Star24, NYCE, Maestro.   With the
agreement between Interac and NYCE.   I could assume this card can
still be used at places that don't take Visa or Mastercard.

They forgot to add.  You can make purchases at pos terminal.
That don't take Mastercard.  If it is one of those systems above.
