We think of credit card fraud as being someone using the card or
number without permission and passing it on to a company for payment. 
Nowdays the companies are into the game as well.  If a company has
your card number they just go ahead and use it without permission.
I had paid a telnet bill once with my VISA Gold card in April, They
asked me if I wanted to take it off the card regularly and I said no. 
Then is May my telnet bill came showing the April payment overdue and
added on again to the May payment doubling my bill for May.  I
decided to wait and see if it showed on my credit card bill as having
been paid in April before I paid this one.
When I got my credit card statement it didn't show that time period,
but it did show the double payment deducted from my VISA without any
authorization at all.
You have to be very careful about these things.  No wonder people
can't get ahead in this world.  They hammer you down at every turn.
