Thank you for all the advice. We still have not heard back from Hydro One. We sent them a letter on March 17 by postal mail and by e-mail. The plan right now is to wait until April 17 and then we will write a letter to the Ontario Energy Board to register a complaint. We sure hope the strike of the Ontario government workers will be over soon, :-(. The thing that got us is that they could just replace a meter without giving us a chance to verify the final reading. We do live in an apartment building but the super could have let us in the meter room if Hydro One had notified us that they were changing the meter so that we can read it for ourselves. They do say that their meters are accurate but then mistakes could have been made and misreading should not have been ruled out. Sigh. Again, thank you for your kind help. Will keep you posted.
