A while ago my electric bill came in the mail torn and tattered. I could only read half of it, so I only paid half the amount they wanted. (I left a note inside explaining about the torn bill, and sent it to them). For some reason they would not accept the terms, and sent me another bill for the remainder. I guess this proves you can get damaged bills replaced.
