I have a much better idea.
Cellphones should be equipped with an explosive charge that will go off if
the line is open (someone is talking on the cellphone) and the airbag goes off.
Anyone who wrecks from their inattention due to yakking on their cell will
lose a hand.
I guarantee that people will either not drive while talking on their
cellphone, or they'll soon be nicknamed "Lefty".
And of course I'm kidding.
But it _would_ solve the problem of idiots driving 2-ton lead sleds without
paying more attention to their cars than to the people they could just hang
up on.
