Hello:

      Many months ago I proposed the creation of a new newsgroup called
"can.med.paramedics", around 50 people supported the creation of this
group to discuss Canadian EMS issues/practices and to join people in
discussion from coast to coast. Not enough people showed interest, but we
did manage to get a group called "can.med.misc" created, a catch all
Canadian medical newsgroup.

      I would like to hear from people that think it's time to propose the
group again. I'm thinking of doing it in January 1996, I'm starting to
mail off notices to associations, EMS newsletters etc this month. Hoping
the editors will put the proposal in their newsletters to gain more
support for the idea.

     If your interested, please e-mail me and I will send you a copy of
the RFD after I finnish updating it and inform you when the proposal will
go forward for discussion in the sole newsgroup "can.config". Discussion
of this proposal should only take place in can.config, news administrators
watch that group closely.

I also think that it would be a great idea.  I am the co-ordinator for a 
mid sized service in central Manitoba, volunteer for my local service, am 
the chair for the Interlake Ambulance Operator's Association, a director 
for the Provincial Operator's Association and am a member of the Manitoba 
C.I.S.D. Team.  I would definetly make a lot of use of it myself as long 
as it contained more than "Help save a life".
