Driver Disk

The Ultimate Drivers Disk:
This Autorun CD contains over 640 meg of nothing but drivers. Drivers
and more dirvers. Drivers for printers, modems, sound cards, video
cards, capture cards, scsi cards, scanners, motherboards, net. cards,
burners, and much, much more.

This Disk is a must for the PC Tech, or the person who occasionally buys
used equipment. Drivers at your fingertips, no more having to log on
the Net and search out your driver.
For more info go to:
http://pages.prodigy.net/ahsb123/interplex.html
I promise you won't get trapped there in frames, or a bunch of
redirects.

What a monstrous pain to have to download drivers. Probably easier
than searching this CD. Try www.windrivers.com and you're done.

Amazing, get drivers at the price the manufacturer sells them for: free!
And you can be pretty sure they're virus-free too.

It seems that possibly Rudy is the only one that gets the idea. There are times
when internet access is not available, maybe while you are reconfiguring your
machine. I can assure you, that if you have spent time looking for drivers, that
there are times when some are hard to find. I have compiled over 4 gig of drivers,
from the antiquated and out of date, to the most recent and up to date. I keep
those drivers archived on a dedicated machine. If, for some reason the driver you
are looking for is not on my disk, all you have to do, is email the address on the
disk, include the code you receive with the disk, and I will email it to you within
24 hours. Should the driver(s) be too large for some email accounts, you will have
access to my FTP site, and I will post it for you to download.

This disk may not be for everyone. But for someone who values his/her time, it's
well worth it.

I'm not looking to get rich from this disk, I just think it is a good idea, and
reasonably priced.
All the Best

While that's true, there may be instances where that may be out of the question
(i.e., no internet access). Unless one is willing to find and download the
necessary drivers to keep archived (such as a CD) this might be reasonable.

I think you're the one not getting the idea. Unsolicited commercial

Jordan,
Do you mean like the posting by "Robert" at 7:12am, Sunday - Or the 4 postings
by
"overkill@mindspring.com Sunday, at 10:30pm, 10:34pm, 10:36pm, and 10:45pm?
Something like that? I'm sure we can find a FEW more.
I don't post very often, I don't repeat my posts over and over again like a lot
of postings I see here. I try to respond to people in a courteous manner,
regardless of how curt their remarks may be. My response to you is no exception.

Smile Jordan, you might like it.
All the Best.

In other words, you are admitting that you understand, but playing the
"but you're singling me out!" card.

lame.

I suppose next you'll focus on the bogus e-mail address I have provided.
As if it matters.

ad hominem is what it's called.

Yeah, they all are. "But everyone else was speeding too, why are you

Ok Jordan, you win. I won't post my disk anymore. Not
due to your elementary "speeding" inference, or your
contacting my ISP. I just refuse to continue with your
"Flame War", which you obviously live for. It's apparent
that you "just decided to respond" to my post, because
you saw that I do respond to all comments. Even yours.
And that seems to be a rare novelty when it comes to
anything you've posted. Attention is apparently
something you need.

To the 200+ replies for my disk:
Thank you.

To anyone else who may have been annoyed by my post:
I apologize.

Take Care, and all the best.

Ad hominem? I don't believe I attacked anyone's character to avoid an issue. I
believe I made an observation. Never once did I whine about being singled out.

As far as your bogus email address: I don't care.

Jordan,
You don't have a clue what you are talking about... your ignorance is obvious,
and
your need for attention glows like a neon light. Your responses never seem to
head
in the same direction, thus displaying a desperate need for continuing
interaction,
any interaction.
Example: On Saturday (6-16-01), some poor guy posted a desk for free. Of
course, there is "Jordan Mills", responding in your usual sarcastic, smart-ass
manner.
Your responses had nothing to do with the real subject at hand. You just
continued
to ramble on, making fun of the deal, giving the guy a hard time, as well as
anyone
who came to his defense. Anything for a response. Just look at YOUR OWN
responses to my origional post. The same holds true... first it was a cut-down
on what I was offering. Then is was about it being a "commercial" posting. Now
it's
about me "profiting at the expense of others". Anything for a response.

Does the label, "ATTENTION WHORE" mean anything to you? It should, because
it describes you perfectly. You come across as a pitiful, little person, whose
only
recognition is life, is, and always will be, a sparring match in a newsgroup.
Maybe someday, somebody will pay attention to you in real life. That would be a
change,
huh?

Take Care,
A.H.

Okay, I can honestly say I busted out laughing near the end of your post
(thankfully I managed to put down my cheap totino's party pizza so as not to
spill second-rate tomato sauce on myself).

You dredged up some response about a desk. I think I know the one you're
talking about, where I said it might be from a chinese person. You failed
to note that it was in response to a question, while asked of the newsgroup
in general, that nobody but the seller would have likely known. Ask a dumb
question, get a dumb answer and all, I was merely furnishing the dumb and
answer parts. Any way, at the time (as I am now), I am sitting at a desk
given to me by a chinese person, semi-coworker and good friend. The legs
are on wood blocks, to raise it a good four inches. They're the same blocks
the chinese man used, since we're about the same height, six feet three
inches or so. Anything but small. This is an example of a humorous reply.

I became a little more serious about the theft responses, because you are
stealing from the readers of this newsgroup for your own profit. I won't
repost the links and explanations given by the several knowledgable and
helpful people who put them up originally (okay, I'll post one of my own;
look at http://www.mail-abuse.org/ for more info).

Now it seems you're attacking my character, labelling me an "ATTENTION
WHORE" (caps yours) and saying I come across as a pitful, little person. I
would like to think I'm a little more. Perhaps giving a little background
will help your understanding. You see, I run my own business. I do wide
area network design, and other related things (and you will never see me
advertise my business on this newsgroup. spam can be determined by a fine
line, and I like to stay away from it, if even just as a simple show of
respect to the people who read the groups). If you've never done wide area
network design, you wouldn't know how mindbogglingly frustrating certain
aspects of it can be. You should know, though, that as I run my own
business, I have to deal with some pretty annoying people. I deal with this
for about ten hours a day, six days a week (yeah, I worked last saturday,
along with most others). That's a lot of annoyance. I don't see myself as
special. I'm sure a lot of people go through the same crap in life. Many
probably put up with more. We need an outlet some times. One of mine is
making funny posts to newsgroups. I really don't care what YOU think of
them. They're for MY benefit. I laugh at them. Sometimes other people may
think they're funny too. Great, since I laugh at others posts. Share the
humor. If you don't think I'm funny, use your killfile (in outlook express,
hilight a message from me, click on "message", then "block sender . . ." and
follow the prompts).

I've probably been using internet newsgroups since before you knew what the
internet was, and I can assure you that humor and irony from frustrated
sysadmins is not a new thing. This is how it has always been. If you don't
like it, you're welcome to start your own news network.

A.H., I agree with your assessment of Jordan completely.

His retort that he is not an 'attention whore' is terribly long to deny
such. He should stop trying to control things and maybe folks would accept
him.

That he owns his own business is certainly no proof of largeness of
character. There are plenty of small folks who are just so obnoxious that
they cannot work for others and therefore, open some little business. That
he thinks his customers annoying, sheds much light on this person who likes
to denigrate others.

Jordan, if you are reading this: big folks don't have to stomp on others to
appear big, they are big because they don't when given the opportunity.

Amen, and well stated... methinks also he doth protest too much... now,
perhaps you could quell the second amendment (second graders ?)
squabble as well ? :-)
