Maybe someone can help me with this... My modem (an internal twincom 96/42i) tells me to lock the com port at 38400, which I do and have been doing for the last year. During this time, I have had no problems with file transfers, up until lately. Lately, I have had numerous errors in transferring files and in drawing the screen in general. The screen problems have pretty much always been around though. The screen problem is that I get only part of what is supposed to be there, such as part of an ansi-type code, and there is some garbage on the screen. The modem manual says: it is a V.32 9600 bps internal data modem. It employs an asynchronous PARALLEL interface and emulates a 16C450 UART to the host computer. The problem does get a little bit better if I lower the port speed to 19200. I have used more than one comm program with this also (i.e., Procomm+, Telix). Help me please, the warranty runs out at the end of January. Bryan
