This post is to inform you of an large upcoming auction to be held in
Denver Colo.. on the 10th. of Dec. by Distribution Recovery Services.
It will include over $4,000,000 of equipment. The 4 main manufacturers
are Apple, HP, IBM and Compaq. I have set up an initial announcement of
the items to be sold at an FTP site. This was done to limit the
bandwidth taken up on the net. To get the announcement, FTP to
ftp.neosoft.com go to pub/mac_resource. There are presently 4 files, a
README file for downloading instructions, A plain text file
AUCTION.TXT, a Word for Windows file AUCTION.V20 and a Word for Mac
file Auction info.
These files contain information on the auction, contact numbers,
reservation info and product highlights. On or before the 28th of Nov.
I will be posting a Excel and tab delimited text file showing the
complete listing of the auction. If this experiment proves to be
successful will will continue it. We hope to actually put a Web server
on-line for future auction and private sale items liquidated by this
company. You will be able to view the linked items by way of a 8 bit
photo. eventually we may be able to set it up for you to purchase and
bid on-line. if you do not have ftp ability you can e-mail me at;
buckey@neosoft.com, for a copy.

I will not be posting this notice everyday or anything like that. I
will post a follow up notice when the itemized list is available around
the 28th. I would like feedback on the best way to handle this in the
future. Ifelt the ftp site was the most considerate way to handle
this. Thanks in Advance

PS I have bought lots of stuff at these DRS auctions and resold some of
it on the net, this should tell you something about the good deals that
there often is.
