Differences between 486 processors?

Hello people. I thought I understood the basic differences between the
386*X, the 486*X, and the 486*LC processors. Now I am confused.

A 386SX is a 16 bit 386, correct?

Is a 486SX also 16 bit? Or is it a brain damaged (no coprocessor) 486, but
still 32 bit?

Can someone point out to me the differences among the 486's?

What is a 486SLC?
What is a 486DLC?

Also, I hear that the same clock doubling that has been used to get the
486DX2(50)66, can be used in the 486DX50, but hasn't....Why not? Doesn't
anybody want a 100Mhz internal processing speed?

Thank you for your responses.

In case anyone wonders why I post this here, I will say, let them wonder......

No, seriously, If I am to buy a PC, I need to know these things!

Adios. -JEM-
