I have been using AutoDoubler almost since I have had my Mac. Almost all the
drives I have ever had experience with thta have used the Times Two format
have died. Save several internal drives on the older IIsi's (go figure).
I would not trust TimesTwo. It is a good idea, but failure is inherent more
so than with other, more typical compression methods.
Autodoubler can be a bit slow, and it does not double a drive's volume, but
it does have nearly transparent file handling with the compression/
decompression nicely. Even startup volumes as it does not alter the system
in any way.
