                                Compatibility
    Anubis is compatible with virtually all SCSI and IDE disk mechanisms,
  including fixed disks, SyQuests, Opticals (3.5" and 5.25") Flopticals and
Zip drives. Anubis supports IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) drives on the
     Mac. IDE drives are found in the Powerbook 150 and Quadra 630 Macs.
   CharisMac's implementation of IDE allows users to adjust the read-write
command settings, as well as enable built-in RAM caches. By taking advantage
 of the built-in RAM caches, users may see a speed increase over Apple's IDE
                              driver software.

                    Asynchronous Formatting Capabilities
 Anubis supports asynchronous formatting. With asynchronous formatting, you
 may format or auto-initialize a drive in the background, and complete other
 tasks in the foreground (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.). Asynchronous
      formatting may be chosen on any SCSI Manager 4.3 compatible bus.

                         3rd Party Accelerator Cards
  Anubis includes support for virtually all third-party SCSI, NuBus and PCI
                             Accelerator cards.

                         Anubis Utility LUN support
The Anubis Utility offers full, comprehensive support for LUNs (Logical Unit
         Numbers) for control of over 100 devices on one SCSI bus.

                               Anubis Mounter
The Anubis Mounter provides you with an easy and efficient way to manage all
   of your removable drives connected to the SCSI bus. The Anubis Mounter
  recognizes and acknowledges all removable drives and loads a driver when
  necessary. The Anubis Mounter ensures complete compatibility when using a
               variety of cartridges on your removable drives.

              SCSI Manager 4.3 / Power Macintosh Compatibility
 The Anubis Formatting Utility is fully compatible with Apple's SCSI Manager
 4.3. SCSI Manager 4.3 is found in the ROMs of the new Power Macintosh line
  of computers, as well as in the Quadra 840 AV and 660 AV. The benefits of
    the new SCSI Manager 4.3 running with the Anubis Formatting software
    include: asynchronous SCSI I/O, reduced SCSI I/O processing overhead,
  maximized SCSI bus utilization resulting in higher data transfer rates.
