Mr Silva's response may not have been very eloquent but it was at
least succinct.

Although I have no doubt you are sincere in your criticism, there are
two things which you overlook in your followup:

1. The newsgroups to which the original message was posted are all
"for sale" groups and are inappropriate fora for political opinions.

2. Not everyone who reads these newsgroups lives in the USA. To many
people the shenanigans of the US Government are simply irrelevant.

3. The fact that the President is to be impeached does not mean that
the presidency is under threat. Some would argue that the impeachment
is essential for the preservation of the presidency. This is a valid
point of view. In any case, the verdict is by no means a foregone
conclusion.

4. I can't count.

This debate should now terminate. It should never have been here in
the first place. I promise to say no more here.
