In reference to the "handling" of 300 watts of power vs. having 300 watts of power, you are absolutely correct. That was a misprint on our part, and does not accurately represent our client's product. We have since revised our advertisements accordingly. >>Their home page, while attractive, has no mention of a warranty - >>Cambridge Sound Works, among other mail and email order companies, >>offers >>a 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee. But, the other guys >>mention their guarantee unlike Baltlines. I think this time the oversight was yours. Baltlines Audio offers not a 30 day guarantee, but proudly offers a 5 year limited warranty on all speakers. Visit their web site for complete details (http://www.eliteweb.com/baltlines). You'll find the warranty information at the end of the web site, prior to the order form (select the Las Vegas speakers page). We will be adding the information to the order form, as well, so that it is not overlooked by anyone that may be looking for it. >>I also found it odd that >>Baltlines was ready to take your order and credit card number from >>their home page.... while warning you that the transaction was not >secure. These people might be great, but they seem too eager to take >>your money, too eager to advertise in inappropriate ways, and not >>eager >>enough to warranty your satisfaction for my taste. You are referring to our disclaimer about accepting credit card information through the Internet. That is a function and standard disclaimer of Elite Web Design & Marketing, not Baltlines Audio (our client). Elite Web Design & Marketing knows that no Internet transactions are completely secure (yet), not even those that purport security. Therefore, in the best interest of all of our clients (and their clients), we decided to offer the acceptance of credit cards through the Internet, however, warn those users of the potential danger. We believe it is up to the individual to decide how he/she wants to handle such a transaction. We do offer secure telephone, mail, and fax orders as well. Rather than taking a reactive position regarding Internet transaction security, we thought it best to proactively warn potential customers of possible security risks when using credit card information on the Internet. Frankly, I can't see that as anything but smart, for all involved parties. As for "seeming too eager to take money...," our clients sell a quality product (backed by a 5 year limited warranty), for which they ask for compensation. That's called Business. As for the warranty, I believe we covered that. >>These speakers are >SO< wonderful that the vendor didn't bother >>crossposting to rec.audio.marketplace, perhaps the only appropriate >>newsgroup for this ad. Our information is posted in rec.audio.marketplace, as well as several other relavent newsgroups, but thank you for the concern. As part of it's well planned introduction to the Internet, Baltlines Audio will soon be offering a "Free Speaker Giveaway." Details will be posted to this newsgroup as soon as our promotion is in effect, or respond to this post (via email) and we will place you on our speaker promotion distribution list. Again, thank you for your observations. Diran Alemshah, Webmaster Elite Web Design & Marketing http://www.eliteweb.com webmaster@eliteweb.com
