EPVA Give Boost to Net Surfers with Disabilities The Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association (EPVA), a leading advocate for people with disabilities, has launched their web page at http://www.epva.org. EPVA is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans with a spinal cord injury or disease by assuring quality health care, promoting research, and advocating for civil rights and independence. Our programs also educate medical professionals about spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis, encourage accessible design, counsel members about benefits they are entitled to, and rehabilitate people with disabilities through wheelchair sports and other recreational ctivities. We played a leading role in passing the Americans with isabilities Act of 1990 and the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988. Our website is revised monthly and includes: descriptions of our programs and services information about disability-related issues inspirational articles from our monthly newsletter, EPVA Action upcoming events and seminars job openings Browsers can order publications and videos, and register for seminars on-line. EPVA is the largest chapter of the congressionally-chartered Paralyzed Veterans of America. We have over 2,200 members and serve the northeasts disabled community. Since our founding in 1946, EPVA has enabled members and other people with disabilities to lead full and productive lives. Check out EPVA at http://www.epva.org.
