What do you > think those rules are all for? Okay then, I've actually heard leftists quote the same "general welfare" as a requirement that the government provide welfare payments to poor people. I guess it's like xians of different ideologies arguing that Jebus would have said one thing or another, just like we are arguing what the founders would say if they heard someone say the government should ban meat and force people to eat tofu instead. My guess is that if King George had done such a thing, that the right to eat what you want would indeed be enshrined in the Constitution.
