At 4:31 A.M. a 6.5 centered in Northridge in the San Fernando Valley
occured.

Power and phones are out. Freeway overpasses have collapsed. Having
recently moved to the east coast from the Northridge area I've already
been in contact with relatives and friends in Northridge and the surrounding
area -- most people in their right minds aren't in a big rush to go to 
work and get on the net.

It's also a holiday for a lot of people too.

Give 'em a chance though, they'll be on as soon as it's safe to do so.
