 >The really refreshing thing about dealing with Arf is that he makes no
bones about his bigotry -- although he _does_ deny that's what it is.

And the refreshing thing about Jeff (aside from his world class beer) in that
you can always count on him to lable as bigotry, anything that does not fit
 into his value system.

 >Jack, you might be surprised to know that there are some of us who
believe that the real value in "this country" is that it is not a
monoculture, that it is one of the few places in the world in which the
entire concept is that a whole lot of different people can co-exist --
with a little effort on everyone's part.

I am glad you said "some of us", because that allows room for us "bigots" to
hold a different opinion or at least a rational and objective view of it.

But to the point, aside from Japan and Israel, most countries provide
opportunities for a lot of different people to co-exist. There is little
unique about the US in that repsect. What is unique, is the liberal pressure
and propaganda aimed at increasing the influx of more and different people,
the purpose of which is to promote and encourage liberal legislation.

I see no need to apologize for the aforementioned statement aside from
 perhaps modifiying it to:

 >>I have no problem with understanding other cultures, I just don't wish
 >to import [anymore of] them into this country.

It's simply a matter of quantity. The bucket is full.

 >Some Krepalech, Schmidling? Matzos, perhaps? Come on, be a mensh.

I can already enjoy all those things without opening the floodgates to more
 immigration. The BUCKET IS FULL!

 >From: niepornt@phoenix.Princeton.EDU (David Marc Nieporent)

 >"Hispanic" barbarians, huh?
 >Why the quotation marks around Hispanic?

Because it a meaningless, Madison Avenue word. To give it meaning, I
 created Hispania.

 >I think I'm going to put that one in my .sig file. "It's time to send
the Statue of Liberty somewhere else."

Good and I will repost my wonderful article on the Statue of Immigration.

 >So when *wasn't* the "bucket full"? There isn't a single argument
against immigration today that I haven't seen in books written
 in the 1970's, the 50's the 20's the 1800's.

That's like telling a person dying of thirst, who is begging for water, that
his argument has already been presented and he is still alive, so stop
 worrying.

All the wishfull thinking in the world will not halt the pressures of our
population explosion and all the evils that this creates.

 >The vast majority of people entering at _any_ time bring nothing but
misery with them. For a person to leave their home, and come to a new
country, they've got to be pretty miserable, and usually, pretty
 desperate.

So what? 95% of the population of the world is in that position. When do we
say no? When the standard of living here has been reduced to the least
 common denominator?

 >But the fact that they're poor doesn't mean they're worthless.

How the hell said it does? But neither should it be a ticket to American
 citizenship.

 >You're mother is Jewish, right Jack? When did her family come to
 America?

A long time ago, when the Earth was green......

 > What did they bring with them?

 Big bucks!

 > And where would you be now if the bastards like you had succeeded in not
 letting that family come here?

Somewhere else, no doubt. But again, so what? Maybe I would have ended up
in Israel, as the Prime Minister of a real democracy, with friendly relations
with all my Arab neighbors and running a healthy economy that is not a
parasite of the US. The liberal brainwashers want us all to think that the
only alternative to a green card is the rack or a bullet in the head.

 >Aside from the fact that "and confused are they all" is an utterly un-
 grammatical phrase....

I like it and whether or not it is "ungrammatical", it is proper English.

 >Thanks for displaying the intellectual cowardice....your suspicious argu-
ment that all Hispanics are "barbarians" by virtue of the actions of one
 subset of that group.

You are demonstrating you inability to put sentances together. The term
Hispanic barbarians only applies to those referred to in the same sentance.

 >From: <U19807@uicvm.uic.edu>

 >Are you implying,O Great Fountainhead of Anti-Zionism,that Israel actually
_does_ have a right to exist? Why,I'm shocked.....

That's because you are a fountainhead of idiocy.

I was rubbing the Friend's of Israel's collective noses in the racist
immigration policies of that bastion of democracy. We spend $billions to
resettle Russian immigrants in Israel, so long as they are Jews and yet when
any American suggests restricting American immigration, in any way
whatsoever, their collective noses jump all over the abject bigotry or such
 evil.

 >Who in the hell _says_ "we" don't? You may not,but I consider any sort of
rejection of legal immigrants to this country an incredibly stupid rejection
of the principles this country supposedly stands for.

Perhaps you would like to point out just where in our Constitution that
 principle is spelled out.

 >From: <U19807@uicvm.uic.edu>

 >So which are the "disgusting ones",in your opinion?

How about canibals? Or how bout Santa Ria? How bout chopping off the hands
of thieves? Or how bout people who shoot guns off on New years eve and kill
 innocent poeple?

 >as long as there is enough space so they do not bump into each other and
 >create friction.

 ...............

Nice to see you all crawl out of the woodwork. I will try to come up with
something agian soon to get your attention.
