BLACK TOYS AND THE NAAWP
I frequently get berated for suggesting that the NAAWP
(National Association for the Advancement of White People)
may be an idea whose time has come.
The follow article appeared in a recent Chicago newspaper:
.........
BUY BLACK TOYS
The Chesterfield Community Council recently announced its
fourth annual "Buy Black Toys from Black Toymakers Campaign"
for the christmas season. This organization has compiled a
gift suggestion list of black toymakers......
The article included a picture with a bunch of black people
"dispalying their favorite black manufactured gift"
..........
One can't help but wonder what a clamor the media would
produce over a similar article wherein was substituted the
white for black.
I am not suggesting the present NAAWP is the pillar of
integrity or a role model but to suggest that there is no
place in our society for an organization or even the idea of
promoting and protecting the interests of white folks is
simply hypocracy and reverse racism.
