Being as there are copyright claims I would assume that AT&T will
demand international protection under the Berne Convention (ca. 1978).
Since the AT&T copyright came later on (after 1980), I would imagine
it all falls under this pact.

Most nations you are probably thinking of are signatories to the Berne
Convention. I don't have the list but I seem to remember that it's
like 80 or so countries.

So there's no short cut out the door.
