I am an Electronics Engineer with 10 years experience working for mid-sized companies. I recently went back to school and received my Master's Degree in EE. NOW, I'm investigating my future prospects as an IP or Patent Attorney. Can anybody offer me info on job prospects for an experienced MSEE who acquires a JD? i I am told that although there are already plenty of lawyers, there are not enough IP and Patent lawyers. What are salary profiles for Engineers-turned-IP lawyers? Any pointers on how I should proceed in serenading law schools to accept me? I have not yet taken the LSAT. My Undergrad GPA was a dismal 2.7, but my Graduate GPA (and recent) is 3.5. I expect that I can do quite well on the LSAT. Thanks for your input!
