Dear Investor, After reading some postings on this forum, I believe there are many mislead investors here. I say so because those were some of the exact questions I asked before also. Unfortunately, some people did answer my question. But incorrectly. I took the answers and tried to come up with my own theory. Afterall, I was suppose to be smart. I have B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and UCLA. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I needed to move stock prices according to my will to make profit consistently. Pretty good thought, huh. Well, pump-and-dump is not going to work since it is illegal. So after some thought, I realized that I can manipulate penny stocks because of its pricing increments and low trading volume. So here's how it worked: 1. Buy a huge lot at base price 2. Then bid up the price by buying in small lots 3. People will believe that this is the stock-play-of-the-day (penny stock players look for unusual percentage gain each day to decide which stock to play) 4. When people come in to trade this stock, I will sell my huge lot in step 1. Boy, ain't I a genius? Well, here's what really happened. People took notice. People talked on Yahoo! Message board saying this stock is alive again! Got me excited for sure. But there was no buyers, only people selling. What in the world is happening! ........... ........ .... I almost wiped out my whole portfolio in one day... After the emotions cool down and my mind started to clear, I realized these sellers were people who are holding on to a paper loss waiting on the chance for this stock to rebound. And I helped them recover their losses!!! I was heart-broken and financially-broke. But did I swear off investing like many people if they were in my place? Well, uh no. Instead I swore that I am going to do things right. And I need help since I now believe I am a fool. So I started to search for an answer. And you probably would have guess by now. I came across the financial newsletter industry. But oh my, they are expensive. Being financially broken, I have no way to subscribe to these "supposedly incredible service." I thought about solutions. Well, solving things are what us engineers are all about. Sometimes the solution are so good that it wipes all your savings... Finally, I tracked down this financial newsletter firm who that's moderately priced and kind of within driving distance. After some long discussion about information disclosure agreements, they agreed to let me work for them. And I started doing data entry. What did you expect? But oh boy, I get to read their subscription for free! I get to dig the minds of these guru! And I get to read other financial newsletters for free also! Since we need to know about our industry, we subscribe to many newsletter to keep us informed. Gosh, let me tell you, most of the other newsletter writers are incredible writers but they SUCK at stock selection. This makes me feel lucky that somehow I landed on the right company. I've been here for a while now and understand our company's system now. I think... Our analyst goes through our pre-screened stocks (Did I tell you I am promoted to a "researcher" now? I keep track of news and rumors.) and decide whether it is valid as truly undervalued stock. He is very tough, but he is almost always right. Even when he's wrong, our subscribers are covered by the 15% stop loss requirement. This means when a stock falls 15% from a recent high, we will sell. This is one of most important lesson I've ever learned. They told me that this is used by most of the advanced investors. Having an exit-strategy is the most important step in investing. --------------------- Okay, I have told you about my story. Now I must tell you that you can read about a stock that has "6000 cash-generating operations in over 90 countries!" on our website. This is because we have just recently increased the number of subscribers to 500 and are sending out invitations. And I have been asked to spread the word to my peers. Since I used to dwell on message boards before, I figure you and I are close in a way. So I decided to send out invitations through these boards. A very well written piece of spam. In fact it almost looks like it isn't spam. Especially that bit about "After reading some postings on this forum". Initially it sounds like you're going to participate in or even precipitate discussion like the regulars do here, but then, after reading your singular posting in this forum, it quickly became apparent that "forum" is the wrong adjective for your posting. It's like saying "feature wall" when you actually mean "billboard". When your posting is for the purposes of advertorializing, then you aren't showing respect in my opinion and therefor don't deserve my business. On the other hand, if you had participated in the discussions and questions here and simply tagged your signature with your web-site url, then I probably would have made a point to check out your magazine. Please re-read your CRM manual. Thank you. AJ,
You are right that I only read the discussions and questions here
and have NOT participated here. I only participated in the Yahoo!
Message Boards since there are a lot more action there. Even so, I
believe that I have made a point that I do not participate in
discussions anymore. It has been awhile since I posted anything
online anymore.
I am terribly sorry that you felt I have spammed you. It's true
that the commercial flavor in my posting is obvious, but I sincerely
hope you understand that my story is true. And I am hoping that you
realize that "free advice will cost more damage than paid advice."
I wanted apologize once again for this. And I have been told not
use spam in anyway by my boss.
So if you accept my apology and are still a little interested,
then please do try to check out the website. We are offering a 30 day
money-back guarantee.
Terribly Sorry

Dear John or Ron or Judy or whatever your name is, I'm sorry, but you still don't cut it with me. To me, your post was an advert disguised as a conversation starter. Your intent is plainly to sell your product. Your sales technique is such a well worn path that most people can plainly see it. Again, I say, read your CRM manual. If you want customers, you must build a relationship. And in a forum like this, the acceptable way to do it is to participate in discussion, not to fob it off with a lame "I don't do that anymore". Such a comment shows your original posting for what it really is. You offer a conversation appetiser and then turn around and say that you don't participate. Considering the content of recent postings, and as Alan M said regarding your cross-postings, I doubt you read a single word here before posting your advert. I'm not offended by your post. But surely you can't expect that I'm going to let you get away with the pretence and then happilly go and visit your site. Sorry, I'm avoiding it on principle. And regarding the "commercial flavour" of your posting, I think you need to go back to spin-doctor school. As for your comment 'And I am hoping that you realize that "free advice will cost more damage than paid advice."' What kind of fools do you think frequent these forums? I'm sure that pretty much no one here could be sold to by glib platitudes like that one. I could go on, quoting yourself back at you, but I hope my point is made. You may well have a good (possibly even great) product. But your approach shows neither respect nor sincerity (imho). And based on that .... well .... you know where my browser won't be going.
