Which computer you choose as an adult is very much a decision based on
preference, I have a Mac and I love it especially when my husband is
having gremlins run amok on his Pc. But now that my two year old has taken
part possesion of the computers, I'm glad I have a Mac that I can
safeguard with At Ease(tm). I agree with Tom that kids can learn
everything, including trashing everything in sight, but I don't know of a
product that will keep a Pc safe from a toddler.
