Complete plans for building a LEGO abacus are available at:

    http://www.ee.ryerson.ca:8080/~elf/abacus/lego/

This project is suitable for children ages 7 and up, for either the
classroom or the home.

After building the abacus, you can learn how to count and perform
addition and subtraction with the abacus.

I have no access to sites beyone my company's firewall. Is there any way
anyone can post the instructions here, or send them to my email address
above? My son is a Lego fanatic and would love to build something useful.

Thanks!
Ruthann
