And if you get burned and all you want to get is your hospital bill
paid, but McDonald's new crack law firm decides to fight it, are you
just supposed to go home and put butter on it?

Before that case, McD's was handing out checks for about $30K like it
was nothing. They decided to fight it, and pissed off the jury so badly
that they wanted to give her like 10 million, but they cut it in half
themselves to 5. In short, the jury decided to burn Mickey D's. All the
old lady wanted was like $900, pocket change for McDonalds.

That law firm was soon gone, and they began settling claims again.

They only had to get burned once to learn their lesson too.
