The Oil Man Cometh

There he is, the sound of money in a wizened Texas drawl, the tired
realist looking a bit like the John Huston character from "Chinatown"
as he warns in national television ads that we should just listen here
and do as he says.

And what the 80-year-old T. Boone Pickens says, in a $58 million
campaign, is that we can't drill our way to lower gas prices. By
implication, anybody who tells you otherwise -- including the fellow
Texan he helped put in the White House -- is a fraud.

This is a political parable for the ages: the guy who was behind one
of the knockout punches to John Kerry four years ago is now doing
Democrats the biggest favor of the election by calling Republicans on
their phony energy campaign.

"Totally misleading" is the way Pickens describes Republican attempts
to convince the public that if we just opened up all these forbidden
areas to oil drilling then gas prices would fall. He's not against new
drilling, but he is honest enough to say it wouldn't do anything.

Republicans are furious at their longtime benefactor. Senator John
McCain is currently running an ad in which he directly blames Barack
Obama for $4-a-gallon gas at the pump -- as bogus a claim as anything
yet made in 2008.

Then along comes Pickens, Texas oilman and billionaire corporate
raider, overwhelming the McCain attack with a saturation message that
has the added value of being true, as Henry Kissinger once said about
another matter.

Then, remember this:

(1) If "The Rule Of Law" commands individuals to not be involved in
the murder of another, it must stand as a doctrine of necessary
allegiance to such rule that all have and MUST act on their lawful,
undoubted, unquestionable and unassailable duty (Regardless the views
of Canada's Corrupted Courts and Judges.) to refuse to support a
society that would be party to mass murder; and this:

(2) All Nato nations are, purportedly, subject to "The Rule Of Law".
Recognizing that not even Prime Minister Brown nor the idiot in the
White House (President Bush) will attempt to openly refute this, it
MUST stand as an unassailable FACT that all Americans and all citizens
of all Nato nations MUST act on that duty.

It should also be noted that failure to act on that duty leads us to
the anarchy of all out war as the greed of Capitalism leads the world
to suffer the use of all nuclear and other weapons of mass murder.

Perhaps present supporters of the "Status Quo" should reconsider the
needs of their greed and their support of the insupportable?

Now posting from Bangkok, Thailand where I have had the pleasure of
addressing a select group that asked to be supplied with more
information about the questions which the International Court Of
Justice shall soon be asked to answer, such as:

"Under current International Law, do individuals have a duty to refuse
to support their respective societies if and when such societies are
participating in plans and preparations to commit mass murder?"

"If the Court is of unanimous agreement that there is no such duty
under presently existing laws, will the Court agree and rule that
there is no basis for the continuation of any present Trials, nor any
otherwise possible near future Trials, against any who may have
recently been charged, or about to be charged, with having committed
crimes against humanity, including the mass murder of such as the
Muslims in Serbia by Radovan Karadzik, the murder of thousands of
defenceless citizens throughout Iraq and Afghanistan on behalf of
America's "National Interests" and the millions of Cambodians who died
at the hands of Khmer Rouge leaders who are presently awaiting such
Trials?"

"If the Court insists that such Trials are lawful, required and must
proceed, will the Court rule that it must now be accepted that, in
order that "The Rule Of Law" be upheld, that all must now recognize
that they have, by right of existence and necessary allegiance to such
rule, a DUTY to refuse to support their respective societies if and
when such societies are party to plans and preparations to commit mass
murder?"

Note 2: It is my deepest hope that some shall deign to so consider the
value of their existence as to support the effort to have that Court
address this crucial matter.
