First:

The 120 meg drive is gone.

I have had a few nibbles on the 420meg drive, but I'll hold off making
a final decision until I see tomorrow's (6 July) mail. A daemon
collects my mail at 6:10 Eastern. For those of you who were wondering,
the 420 meg drive has a 13ms drive. More details follow.

Second, to Jim Michael:
*sheepish grin* I apologize for all the autoreplies you are
now getting for your post. Propogation to and from local or regional
newsgroups from my site is not always reliable, so I've been
piggybacking my posts through misc.test, and setting Followups-To: poster.
(As a matter of fact, my original post and your followup are the first two
posts I've seen in atl.general in a long time.)

No offense taken. However, the 420 is, for all practical purposes, new.
Date printed on the drive is "22 APR 94". It was in my computer
for roughly 40 hours before my parent's surprise gift of a 540 arrived
by UPS. The only action seen by the drive was installation, being
partitioned and formatted, testing, being unpartitioned, and removal
from the computer.

Besides, aren't asking prices supposed to be a bit optomistic from
the seller's perspective? :)
