[*.offered and *.contract replaced with more appropriate groups] Why the hell is this getting posted in *.offered? You know it's showing up several times in some groups, because they're aliased to some of the obsolete groups (like misc.jobs)? Please, people, start editing your headers! *.offered gets forwarded to lots of other places, for instance I deliver hardcopies of ba.jobs.offered to both Alumnae Resources and Experience Unlimited in San Francisco here. I just spent a half hour editi ng out this bullshit flamewar. As to the issue at hand, my opinion is that if I'm applying for a computer support job and they want a drug test, I'll turn heel and walk out. If I'm applying for a railroad operating crew position, I will tolerate it. There *are* places where it's somewhat legit.
