This might be even less the same, or maybe more.  You decide: If you follow
Clark Street south to Division, and slightly lakeside, you get into even
more belly-dancing of a certain kind.  It all depends on the style of
unattire and accompaniament you like for your bellies, but I assure you,
with equal employment opportunity laws and belly-dancing schools, Ismir is
at least supposed to hire qualified belly-dancing dancing personel without
regard to national origin.  So who is to say you will see actual Turkish
belly-dancing done by Turks at Ismir?  Same would go for a Maroccan
restaurant.

On the side of historicity: Anais Nin writes in her diary that Fez,
Morocco, was a charming, smoky town where you could not tell a bordello
from an opium den from a restaurant.  I think that most of 1993 Chicago
pales in contrast, but forewarned is forearmed -- the Moroccan casbah was
one heady place so be careful what you ask for...
