There is only one disadvantage to the Plan 9 approach. That's that I don't have one. Having the huge WORM jukebox helps, too... Having a Plan 9 style filesystem with on magnetoptical platters would be even better, and would be better still if there was support for occasionally purging an old snapshot. mjr.
