How can you tell a doctor's income? Marcus Welby died a long >time ago and he was a TV doctor. Try to talk with some nurses - they know the REAL story, and most will talk about it away from work (they may not give the the actual dirt, but if a nurse says she wouldn't recommend that you see a particular doctor, you can bet she has good reason). Become a volunteer at a local hospital. Visit some support groups for ill people. Something I did once when I arrived in a new town was to call several physicians and state that I was going to use them as my physician if they were accepting new patients. However, I stated that I had a problem. I am applying for life insurance and must have a physical by a different physician. Who do you recommend? I obtained about five recommendations, and four of them were to the same doctor. Of course he became my phsician and was excellent. d.
