Ah, but I notice they carefully step around the key issue, whether anything
has actually sold.

This kind of thing gets the exact same recommendation from me that the Scott
Meredith pay-for-play agents and the vanity press gets: run away as far and
as fast as your legs can take you. 

These hacks show up every so often. After a while, they run out of writers
with more money than common sense, and go away again. Rarely, if ever, do
they do anything constructive for a writer's career or sales.
