Hello; I am on the Executive Board of the Huron Shores Writing Institute
which has a "sister program" in Muehlhausen, Germany.

Each year we conduct an exchange program in which we bring together a
variety of individuals from around the world for inter-cultural exchange,
writing workshops and other educational activities which culminate in the
now well-recognized bi-lingual book BREAKWALL.

Because our board is entirely compose of people who donate their time to
bring together these rich experiences; and also all board memebers serve
without pay we have a number of needs.

First of all let me say that we are at a juncture at which many people
will be upgrading computer systems in order to accomodate WINDOWS 95. We
desperately need the (tax-deductable; at least in the United States)
donation of 1) any desktop 386 or preferably 486 that can run WINDOWS
with a CD ROM and sound card.

Also our sister organization in Muehlhausen has translation programs on
CD ROM but does not yet have the drive. Is there some kind indiviudal
who would be able to donate any CD-ROM drive no matter the speed to
either the American organization or our German counterpart? This would
be most appreciated.

Finally, we need any and all 386 and up comuters that can be used by our
students; software and other hardware that anyone might be willing to
part with.

In particular in Germany we also are looking for a FAX/MODEM card that
would run with the v.34 standard.

If anyone would be kind enough to help an organization that has dedicated
its mission toward helping others please get directly in touch with me
through email or call me at:

any and all help would be most appreciated.

Thank you from both The Huron Shores Writing Intitute and the Muehlhausen
Initiative-
