I'm looking for a mature, responsible graduate student to rent the second
bedroom in a great 2-bedroom apartment with a near-absentee roomate.  If
you're looking for a 1-bedroom but can't afford it, this may be just the
thing for you.  I'm a former MIT grad student with responsibilities that
require me to be out of town much of the time.  When I'm around, I"m
quiet, neat, and generally easy-going.   Smoking and pets are not
permitted, and you should be reasonably neat and prompt with bill
payments.  

The apartment is a nice, modernized 2-bedroom in an older 3-family house
with large eat-in kitchen, living room, 1 bathroom, and a fairly large
foyer.  All rooms except the available bedroom are nicely furnished; 
floors are hardwood.  There's a quiet back porch overlooking a peaceful
back yard which makes a good place to eat, study, or just relax.  The
neighborhood and house are quiet and other house residents friendly ---
ideal for a serious grad student.   On-street parking is plentiful, and
there is limited off-street parking available.  

The apartment is located near Teale Square in Somerville; it's a 12-minute
walk to the Davis T station, about a 2-minute walk to bus lines to Union
Square, about a 5-minute walk to Mass Ave and the 77 bus to Harvard
Square.  Tufts' Tisch Library is a 15-minute walk, there's a supermarket 5
minutes away, and the Minuteman bike path and Mystic River parkway are
conveniently close.  

Rent is $650/mo, and a $600 security deposit is required;  4 months is the
minimum term I'll consider; longer is OK.   The apartment is available as
