notes from the original posting to mit e-club, sem095 & sem089:
i hope many of you currently in class, as well as interested alums
of seminars 095 and 089, as well as e-club regulars and alums, will
be able to attend and participate on saturday 21 may, in 6-120.
pre-conference networking, with coffee and carbs, and on-site
registration, commences at 8am, with presentations starting
promptly at 9.
we have 6-120 for the entire day - lunch is included in the fee*
(free for mit students) - and it /appears/ we'll go well into the
evening, with demos of simulations in KURT KEVILLE's linux cluster
over in the course-3 environment, plus a tour of the mit-isn facility.
i'm also contemplating organising an end-of-year e-club and seminars
party and networking event in 6-120 and adjacent eastman lobby, on
the same evening, and in further remembrance of gene mallove ...
hence any music and dramatic arts components /may be/ more formal
than what we're normally exposed to ... but i think it will be a very
good way to wind down a colloquium such as this ... working well the
other sides of our brains.
comments? additional ideas?
