Please read my entire message (i.e. don't just quote the whole thing
;).  I said I'm assuming the sysadmin at anatolia is ignorant of
netiquette and could use a gentle reminder to check out the messages in
news.announce.newusers.

Although there are no ``net police'' (and I would disagree with that;
they just aren't as overt as you would think), there are accepted norms
of behavior on the net.  i.e. don't post business ads on the net except
in biz.*.  

People regularly overstep these conventions, and are subsequently
flamed by everyone and their brother.  I have seen only a few isolated
instances where the person _knew better_ but was being obnoxious
anyway; in most of the cases I have seen, once the poster was informed
what convention was (and why it was so), they would cease and desist.

So far, people trying to contact either the sysadmin at anatolia or
Serdar Argic have been utterly unsuccessful.  I'd like to see if anyone
knows either one of them or knows how to contact them, by phone, in
person, at a UUM meeting, whatever.  That's what I'm trying to
accomplish here.
