Folks, please restrain yourselves with FTP-by-mail!

While most of you are content to pull the occasional megabyte archive from
an Internet site, some of you enjoy pulling TENS of Megabytes in a single
day via mail. Get a clue, folks! I don't want to put a "mail throttle"
into the mailer at tcnet, just to keep abusers from denying service to the
rest of the sites, but I may have to.

Today, 12 Meg is sitting in spool space waiting to go to ONE site. It has
been there all morning because that site has a busy phone line. This data
has already tied up modem phone time on the single link between uum1 and
tcnet, and will be tying up one of tcnet's modems for quite some time when
it does get connected. Is this fair?
