SYS/V version of kermit?

Hello. We have a bunch of people here interested in
getting the source to the latest & greatest version
of kermit. The greatest need is for a version that
runs on Unix SYS/V, though I suspect that when we
get that, further requests will be forthcoming.

One particular question: Does kermit now cooperate
with uucp? That is, does it know how to create the
uucp lockfiles for a device, so that uucp won't wake
up and stomp on kermit's toes? Of course, if it
doesn't, it would be easy enough to modify kermit,
if only we had the source.

[Now let's see if the usenet moderators file has a
good entry for mod.protocols.kermit....]
