Hello,
Welcome to the ProtocolS mail distribution list. This list is
designed to promote discussion of the various existing file transfer
protocols. In the past, this list concentrated on protocols
specifically desgined for async lines. We have since broadened our
horizons as the technology has changed. Please feel free to discuss any
aspect of protocol design on this distribution list.
A complete record of the ProtocolS discussions is maintained in the
list's archives. The current archives are divided into 4 files
covering the dates shown.
File on RUTGERS material distributed between
PS:<PLEASANT.PROTOCOL>PROTOCOLS.OLD pre-digest 30-mar-82
PS:<PLEASANT.PROTOCOL>PROTOCOLS.YR82 digest 30-mar-82 - 31-dec-82
PS:<PLEASANT.PROTOCOL>PROTOCOLS.YR83 digest 1983
PS:<PLEASANT.PROTOCOL>PROTOCOLS.RECENT present
Please note that you do need to login to FTP files from RUTGERS. We
provide an account named ANONYMOUS, which you log into with any
password (you must type a password). People who cannot obtain copies
of files themselves may request copies of the file by sending mail to
ProtocolS-REQUEST@RUTGERS.
Comments about the ongoing discussions should be addressed to
ProtocolS@RUTGERS. Administrative requests (eg. a message asking to
add someone to the mailing list) or questions about the goals of this
list should be addressed to ProtocolS-REQUEST@RUTGERS.
Lastly, welcome to ProtocolS Digest. I trust you will enjoy being part
of these discussions.
