Hey!! That's progress!! At least he didn't call *us* racist for having an opinion. Just paranoid.. I would also agree that learning a second language is a skill but such persons have been called linguists and their job was to translate not to command! Not by virtue of being able to say a word in two languages. No sir! We in contrast have somehow legislated translators into the chain of command and by doing so almost exclusively chosen the translators from the French who were the only group in our society with a pre existing requirement to understand and operate in English. The net result is that three quarters of our people are not properly represented in their own government. The truth is that the politicians knew full well that such legislation would lead to the ethnic cleansing of all English from all Federal service command structures: Customs, Taxation, Postal, Army, Navy, Airforce, Coast guard, RCMP, Parks, Communications, Civil Service, External affairs. Truth is is that Canada is no longer an English Country.
